Humboldt Redwood Timbers
by: LBM Journal
Humboldt Redwood timbers in exposed beam, shade structure, and timber frame construction projects produce beautiful, often dramatic results. Typical projects include arbors, barns, beams, pergolas, posts, rafters, shade structures, and trellises. Certified to the standards of the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC C013133) and eligible for credit achievement under the LEED program, Humboldt Redwood timbers are renewable, recyclable, and biodegradable, providing environmental advantages over alternative materials. Humboldt Redwood timbers are offered rough or surfaced four sides (S4S), in 6″ and larger dimension, in lengths from 8′ to 20′. They are also available in 3″ and 4″ dimension as well. All Humboldt Redwood timbers are available in heartwood only grades with Construction Heart the most typical grade. Additional grades, dimension, and lengths available via special order.
